This regional medical center maintains an organized surgical program with established perioperative workflows designed to support quality anesthesia care delivery across multiple surgical specialties. The facility operates under a medical direction model and accommodates a diverse surgical case mix, including cardiovascular and obstetric services, within a structured on-site clinical environment. Locum tenens anesthesiologist coverage is sought on an ASAP ongoing basis to address current staffing needs within the Anesthesia Department.

Hannibal is a historic destination in Missouri, often referred to as "America's Hometown," and is known for its connection to Mark Twain and attractions such as Mark Twain's Boyhood Home and Museum, Mark Twain Cave and Cameron Cave, and Rockcliffe Mansion. The area features a historic downtown with antique stores and scenic overlooks, as well as nature preserves and riverboat dockings along the Mississippi River. Clinicians on assignment may also enjoy live productions based on Mark Twain's literary works and a range of outdoor and cultural activities available throughout the region.

Clinicians in this role will provide anesthesia services under a medical direction model with 100% hands-on MD involvement, covering day shifts, 24-hour shifts, and call at the facility. The surgical case mix includes general, cardiovascular/cardiac, spine, healthy pediatric ENT, GI, urology, GYN, and OB procedures, with approximately 600 deliveries per year. Proficiency in cardiovascular anesthesia is required; TEE certification is required, though a fellowship is not mandatory. Call coverage is required at a schedule of once per week for CRNA coverage and once per month for weekends. Board certification is required for all clinicians considered for this role.
