Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Every other weekend and every other holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and cardiac rhythms
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or a compact state license
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in a Medical-Surgical or Telemetry setting
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry/cardiac monitoring

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• Prior travel or contract nursing experience
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems
