Senior Specialist, Operations Applications (Quorum)

POSITION OVERVIEWThe Senior Specialist, Operation Applications, reports directly to the Supervisor, Operation Applications. This role is responsible for the delivery and support of the Quorum product stack. Additionally, this role requires actively working, and aligning solutions, with both IT and non-IT groups throughout Cheniere.RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIESProvide day-to-day support for oil and gas business applications, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and user assistanceAnalyze application issues using SQL queries and database investigation techniquesSupport software enhancements, testing activities, deployments, and production support processesParticipate in requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholdersDevelop and maintain:Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)Functional Design Documents (FDDs)Technical Design Documents (TDDs)Test plans and testing coordination documentationCoordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) effortsWork closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)Assist with report development, troubleshooting reports, and data validation activitiesCreate and maintain support documentation, wiki pages, and operational proceduresParticipate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiativesKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSStrong SQL knowledge, including querying, troubleshooting, and data analysisSolid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)Basic coding and debugging knowledgeFamiliarity with IIS, services, scheduled jobs, APIs, or middleware platformsBasic understanding of networking, server environments, and application hosting conceptsBasic experience using Azure DevOpsKnowledge of enterprise applications, support processes and change management practicesExperience documenting:Requirements gatheringFunctional designTechnical designTesting coordination and executionStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environmentMust be available to work onsite dailyEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEEducation and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Information Technology related field of study. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.Experience: Minimum of five (5) years’ experience supporting Quorum applications (ESUITE, QPTM, Energy Components, QLS). Experience with AVEVA applications (Measurement Advisor, Field Work Tools) is a plus.Must have the following experience: Experience with at least one (1) scripting language (Python, PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript, etc.)Experience with at least one reporting or BI tool (SSRS, Power BI, Cognos, Crystal Reports, Tableau, etc.)Experience supporting integrations, interfaces, or batch scheduling tools.Experience supporting software applications within the oil and gas industryDIRECT REPORTSNo direct reports.
