Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit supporting Low and High Risk L&D, Triage, LDR, OR, NICU, and Post-Partum settings
• Perform and interpret External Fetal Monitoring, including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Circulate for C-section procedures as required
• Float to Perinatal unit as needed based on staffing requirements
• Participate in mandatory on-call shifts, expected approximately 2 times per month in addition to scheduled shifts
• Utilize unit systems including SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• AHA BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• AWHONN Advanced certification required
• Must be willing to work most holidays; expected 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
• Advanced EKG exam required prior to start (onsite, 20 questions including 17 rhythm strips; 80% minimum passing score, two attempts permitted)
• Completion of required specialty modules required prior to start
• This is a smoke/nicotine-free facility; candidates must arrive free of tobacco odor
• Local candidates are accepted at the travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for diverse patient populations including neonates, adolescents, and adults
• Familiarity with high-risk obstetric environments and OB hospitalist or OB anesthesia collaborative care models
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
