divh2Hematology Oncology Advanced Practice Provider/h2pThe Allina Health Cancer Institute is seeking a Hematology Oncology Advanced Practice Provider to join the practice./ppThis is a full-time position located at the Allina Health Cancer Institute in Cambridge. The work schedule is Monday through Friday and is primarily a clinic focused role. You will be working alongside a collaborative team that includes a Hematologist/Oncologist, an Advanced Practice Provider, and various support services. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support patients with solid tumors as well as hematology patients. Your responsibilities will include seeing patients in the clinic and covering the infusion center./ppJob Description:/ppProvides help with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations as part of a physician/nurse team in accordance with the designated specialty. Works in both inpatient and outpatient situations and can perform independently or as part of a treatment team. Serves as an educator, case manager, consultant to staff and multidisciplinary health care team./pulliProvides clinical care for patients ulliCompletes comprehensive patient assessments./liliDetermines diagnosis and treatment of illness./liliOrders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician./liliPrescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment./liliConducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care./liliRefers for specialty care when determined./liliConsults with physician when patient needs outside of Nurse Practitioner scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear./li/ul/liliParticipates in health care team ulliPromotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff./liliActs as resource to members of the team./liliWorks with primary care team for program development./liliActs as liaison with outside agencies as needed./liliCollaborates with hospital staff by consulting and rounding on patients if designated by the specialty./li/ul/liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpRequired Qualifications:/pulliMasters degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program required./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliNew Graduates may be considered. Minimum 2 years of experience in Oncology./li/ulpLicenses/Certifications:/pulliLicensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP)/liliCertified Nurse Practitioner - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification within specialty or Certified Physician Assistant - (NCCPA) - National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants within specialty upon hire required./liliBLS - Multisource required within 180 Days/liliDrug Enforcement Administration required upon hire/li/ulpPhysical Demands:/pulliMedium Work*: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently/li/ulpPay Range: $135,096 to $164,216 per year The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE.
