Responsibilities Setting forms that hold the concrete in place, ensuring they have the correct depth and pitch. Spreading, leveling, and smoothing concrete using come along, shovel, power trowel, power screed, and float. Monitoring the effects of weather conditions on the curing of the concrete. Safely operating equipment like power vibrator, power trowel, power screed, and drills. Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure surfaces. Waterproofing, damp-proofing and restoring concrete surfaces. Directing the casting of concrete with the truck driver. Rub concrete with abrasive stone to finish. Removing rough/defective spots from the concrete surface, using power grinder, chisel or hammer. Break up and repair old concrete surfaces, patch holes with fresh concrete. Participating in routine maintenance and clean-up of job sites. Requirements Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a concrete finisher. Knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in concrete finishing. Physical strength and endurance, with the ability to work long hours, including overtime and weekends. Reliable personal transportation. Ability to understand and execute verbal and written instructions. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures. Ability to work both independently and in a team. Ability to handle the physical labor required, including lifting heavy items and working in varying weather conditions.
