X-Ray Technologist - Outpatient Imaging

Job Summary Full‑time Radiology Technologist position with a $5,000 sign‑on bonus for new employees. The role operates Monday‑Friday, 9:30am‑6pm at multiple satellite locations. Responsibilities Assume accountability for delivery of care and patient safety. Prepares patients for procedures, providing instructions and minimizing anxiety. Operate CR/Digital X‑ray systems and imaging equipment safely and efficiently. Perform Bone Density examinations, obtain and document patient history, and assess risk factors. Ensure correct patient identification and documentation in PACS, and follow physician orders. Produce quality diagnostic images, maintaining room cleanliness and infection‑control standards. Conduct QA/QC testing per state requirements and report equipment malfunctions. Prioritize and organize work assignments, adjusting priorities based on changing situations. Consult and communicate professionally with other departments. Assist radiologists in fluoroscopic procedures and document fluoroscopy time and related paperwork. Assist in orientation of new technical staff and oversee routine QC per state mandates. Maintain equipment records, recommend replacements, and manage supplies. Reschedule patient appointments as needed and cancel if necessary. Perform Gen. X‑ray and Bone Density procedures at satellite offices when requested. Requirements & Qualifications Diploma from a vocational/technical school required; Associate’s degree preferred. 0–1 year experience required, 2–4 years preferred. Prior radiology technologist experience required. ARRT certificate required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. NJ Bureau of Radiological Health license required. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Problem‑solving, critical‑thinking, and priority‑setting skills. Experience with standard office equipment and Windows‑based technology preferred. Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed. Performance of fluoroscopic procedures (fluoro & dexa) required. Physical Job Requirements Push and pull, lift heavy objects or carts, considering frequency and weight. Travel between locations, balance during climbing, bending, and reaching. Endure continuous typing, prolonged standing/bending, and walking. Dexterity of hands and fingers, and ability to navigate confined spaces.
