Pathologist Opportunity at Mount Sinai South Nassau

Mount Sinai South Nassau is seeking a full-time Pathologist to join its hospital-based practice in Oceanside!

Mount Sinai South Nassau is an award-winning, acute care, not-for-profit teaching hospital located in Oceanside, New York, which is part of the Mount Sinai Health System and includes nine other satellite facilities in the region. Mount Sinai South Nassau is one of the region's largest hospitals, with 455 beds, more than 900 physicians and 3,500 employees. Mount Sinai South Nassau has been delivering exceptional patient care for over 80 years.

Responsibilities

Our CAP and AABB Accredited Clinical Laboratory with 99 Employee FTEs over 1 million billable tests and examines over 14,000 surgical specimens annually. Our 24/7 Lab encompasses all Pathology Disciplines including Microbiology, Biochemistry, Special Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology. The full resources of the Mount Sinai Health system are available including world renowned pathologists, molecular pathology, FISH, digital pathology (WSI), and Artificial Intelligence.

Located in beautiful Nassau County, Long Island, home of world-class golf and beaches, Mount Sinai South Nassau is only 30 minutes from the cultural attractions of New York City.

Qualifications

• NY Medical License
• Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology
• Excellent diagnostic and communication skills
• Subspecialty training/experience is welcome

Compensation range from 305K to 330K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
