Job Summary

Join a dynamic Emergency Department team in Buffalo, New York, for a 13-week contract assignment. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment, located at 565 Abbott Rd, Buffalo, New York.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in patient assessment, stabilization, and intervention, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. This position is ideal for an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse seeking a challenging and rewarding travel assignment, utilizing clinical expertise to manage emergent conditions and ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including triage and rapid evaluation of emergent conditions.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Operate and monitor medical equipment, interpreting diagnostic test results.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record system.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Respond to medical emergencies and assist with resuscitation efforts as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
