Job Description\n Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Normal, Illinois.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Duration: 9 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Job Summary (List Format):\n - Provides professional nursing care for a group of patients during assigned shifts.\n - Utilizes the nursing process, current trends, and technology to deliver patient care.\n - Performs all required duties and responsibilities specific to the Emergency Department (ED).\n - Completes initial patient assessments, develops and implements individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families.\n - Modifies care plans based on ongoing patient assessments and changing needs.\n - Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation for integration into the healthcare team.\n - Ensures patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing safety hazards and incidents.\n - Communicates effectively with staff, patients, families, and visitors to promote a healthy, healing environment.\n - Provides constructive feedback to peers for professional development and problem-solving.\n - Identifies personal learning needs and pursues opportunities for growth and competency.\n - Fulfills all departmental competencies and adheres to unit standards.\n - Requires minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.\n - Requires Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN) and active Illinois RN license in good standing.\n - Requires BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC/TNS/TCRN certifications (American Heart Association).\n - Works 12-hour night shifts in the Emergency Department.\n - Communicates effectively in English (speaking, reading, writing).\n \n Med Ninjas Job ID #6243.
