Per Diem Pharmacist in Donna, TX

Job Description

A healthcare facility in the McAllen, TX area is seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a per diem position. This role involves dispensing prescribed medications and offering expert guidance to patients to ensure the safe and effective use of their medications. The pharmacist will play a key role in enhancing patient care through knowledgeable and compassionate customer service.

Schedule:

Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (8.5 hours/day)
Fridays during the contract period follow the same hours
Contract spans mid-July with possible opportunities for extension

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately distribute medications as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals
Provide detailed information and counseling to patients regarding medication use and safety
Deliver outstanding customer service focused on patient care and satisfaction

Desired Qualifications:

Current Pharmacy License valid in Texas
Experience in retail pharmacy or long-term care settings is preferred
Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Location:

McAllen, TX (close to Donna, TX)
