Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, assisting patients with daily living activities and supporting the healthcare team. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively to ensure high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. Responsibilities:

Assist patients with routine activities of daily living such as hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and positioning. Perform range of motion exercises and provide skin care to patients. Collect patient data and specimens, including vital signs, urine, stool, and sputum samples. Communicate patient status and report changes to licensed nursing staff. Assist with patient care procedures like incentive spirometry, oxygen therapy setup, and suctioning. Prepare patient rooms, assist with admissions and discharges, and provide post-mortem care. Support emergency situations as directed by nursing staff. Maintain and clean medical equipment and supplies. Perform clerical duties such as answering unit phones, data entry, and coordinating supply needs. Required Skills & Certifications:

Valid CNA license. High school diploma or GED equivalent. AHA BLS Provider CPR certification at hire. Experience working with EPIC electronic health record system. Ability to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Prior experience in hospital or acute care settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with patient care in diverse clinical environments. Special Considerations:

8-hour shifts with rotating schedules covering days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
