Job Details Location: Lane College - Jackson, TN 38301 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: Doctorate Degree (preferred) Salary Range: $54,000.00 - $59,000.00 Salary Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Education Position: Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice Chair Department: Academic Affairs – BSBS Reports to: Division Chair of Business, Social, & Behavioral Science FSLA Classification: Full-time Exempt Remote Position: No Responsibilities Develop student learning outcomes. Create course objectives. Implement and instruct students using various instructional modes for traditional, hybrid or online settings. Execute teaching strategies, monitor, and evaluate student progress, and maintain accurate student records. Advise and mentor students. Serve on various college committees. Participate in department, division, and college meetings. Attend scheduled business program / colloquial, division, and college staff meetings. Contribute to the college and community environment. Teach 4-5 classes (12‑15 hours) each semester. Qualifications Doctorate in Criminal Justice (preferred). Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Criminal Justice (considered). Experience teaching a minimum of 3–4 of the following courses: Introduction to Criminal Justice, Criminal Investigations, Corrections, Constitutional Law, Criminology, Ethics in Criminal Justice, Juvenile Corrections, and Police Administration. Familiarity with Blackboard, hybrid courses, and ability to utilize innovative modalities for delivering course content.
