Medical Assistant

Pay: $18.50-19.50/hour

Location: McKinney, TX 75071

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm & Friday 8am - 3pm

Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join a dynamic healthcare team in McKinney. This on-site position involves working closely with physicians to provide efficient patient care, including triage, rooming patients, and managing patient communications. The ideal candidate will have prior medical assisting experience and a strong commitment to delivering excellent patient service. This role offers an opportunity to transition into a permanent position, providing growth and stability within the healthcare field.

Requirements

• Graduate of an MA program (preferred)
• 1+ year of medical assisting experience preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience with EMR systems
• Certified Medical Assistant (Plus)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (Plus)

Responsibilities

• Conduct phone triage and patient call-backs, including delivering lab results, follow-ups, and answering patient questions
• Room patients and take vitals
• Prepare patients for exams and assist physicians
• Manage electronic medical records (EMR) through accurate and timely data entry
• Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers, including forwarding patient questions to physicians or advanced practice providers
