Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring an Assembler 2 for our client. This job is responsible for assembling and inspecting printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) in a manufacturing environment. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to identify electronic components, and the ability to follow assembly drawings and quality standards to ensure accurate and reliable product assembly.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Identify and read values, polarity, and orientation of thru-hole electronic components.
- Verify correct orientation and polarity of components according to printed circuit board layouts.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings to identify part numbers and assembly requirements.
- Verify thru-hole component values and confirm correct placement locations.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards.
- Set up production slide lines and sample boards.
- Perform end-of-line inspections to ensure product quality and accuracy.
- Utilize basic production and assembly equipment.
- Assist in training and supporting other assemblers as needed.
- Maintain accuracy, neatness, and quality throughout the assembly process.
- Communicate quality concerns or process issues to team leaders.
- Suggest ideas and process improvements when applicable.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a production assembly environment preferred; training will be provided as needed.
- Basic understanding of electronic components and PCB assembly preferred.
- Basic understanding of IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards preferred.
- Ability to read assembly drawings and follow work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, motivated, and trustworthy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, stretching, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required for handling small electronic components.
- Good vision required for identifying components and placement accuracy.
- Ability to move or lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Work performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent interaction with others.
