Senior High Performance Computing (HPC) (SA II) (Government)

The scope of this contract requires specialized expertise in high‑performance computing (HPC), automated processing systems, distributed software design, and secure hosting and networking solutions. The IT infrastructure consists of a mix of Linux, Windows, and UNIX. The environment includes a variety of network devices, server interconnections, mass storage solutions, and essential supporting infrastructure services. The services under this contract support HPC, infrastructure maintenance for HPC systems, networking, office automation, and the development of specialized software. AT&T has an opening for a Senior High‑Performance Computing (HPC) Systems Administrator to support a large client‑based IT enterprise installation, configuration and networking of Linux and Windows based platforms. Responsibilities The System Administrator will provide HC services and HPC enhanced sustainment capabilities to two geographically dispersed areas. These capabilities include: Systems running Red Hat, CentOS, SUSE and custom vendor‑specific operating systems, with high‑speed shared storage (Lustre, GPFS) and dedicated high‑speed low‑latency network interconnects such as Infiniband and Slingshot. Transitioning systems into Operations, providing planning, delivery, and integration of new or additional HPC sustainment capabilities that include HPC systems, servers (cluster, SMP, MPP, SPD) and parallel file systems. Supporting the HPC and ABS (ABUNDANTSHIELD high‑speed shared parallel storage) SRE teams and following government‑designated policies and procedures to enhance sustainment responsibilities and improve customer mission operations. Proficient with the following (as specific position requires): Implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution. Daily configuration and operation of IT systems. User assistance in accessing and using IT systems. Tier 2 (Escalation) support and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Optimization of system operations and resource utilization; capacity analysis and planning. In‑depth troubleshooting experience. Detailed analysis and feedback to agency management for escalated tickets. Support for dispatch systems and hardware problems. Configuration and management of Linux, Unix and Windows operating systems and related software, including network components and operating‑system enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Required Clearance TS/SCI with polygraph. Required Qualifications B.S. in a technical discipline and 5 years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity, or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree. DoD 8570 IAT II level certification required. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $89,200 – $207,900 annually, depending on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
