Job Type: Full-Time | Nights

Schedule: 12 hour shifts | 6:45pm-7am

Up to $10,000 Sign-on Bonus with 2 or more years of experience. ***New hires and those who have been away from the organization for 2 years or more.

At Canyon Vista Medical Center , our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) serves as a vital bridge between intensive care and medical-surgical services, providing advanced monitoring and specialized treatment for patients who require a higher level of care. As part of our Critical Care Services, the PCU is an 12-bed step-down unit supported by experienced clinicians, advanced technology, and a collaborative multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

How You'll Contribute

\n

Essential Functions

\n

\n
• \n

  RN performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. 

\n
• \n

  Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

\n
• \n

  Detects change in patient status, reports to appropriate health care team member and utilizes resources as dictated by the acuity.

\n
• \n

  Assigns priorities to the patient's problems with highest priority given to problems that are most urgent and critical. 

\n
• \n

  Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

\n
• \n

  Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

What we're looking for:

\n

Applicants should have a current Arizona or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

\n

Minimum Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred.
\n
• Must have an active AZ or Compact RN License.
\n
• 1 to 2 years of experience preferred.
\n
• Must obtain ACLS within 90 days of hire.
\n
