About the Role

We are seeking detail-oriented Quality Inspection Technicians to support the inspection and release of medical device components, assemblies, and finished products. The Quality Inspection Technician is responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections under the direction of the Quality team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements before shipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components and assemblies.
• Conduct visual and cosmetic inspections on finished goods and kits.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and manufacturing documentation.
• Select samples and perform inspections using appropriate measurement and testing methods.
• Complete First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Release incoming materials and assembled products for production and shipment.
• Create and manage Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) through closure.
• Document inspection results and communicate discrepancies to Quality, Engineering, and Production teams.
• Maintain inspection records and support trending analysis activities.
• Assist with equipment, fixture inspections, qualifications, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Support inventory movements, receiving inspection processes, MRB activities, and product traceability requirements.
• Maintain organized work areas and comply with all safety, GMP, and ISO requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a medical device, aerospace, or other regulated manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of GMP processes and regulated manufacturing standards.
• Experience performing visual inspections and identifying cosmetic defects.
• Ability to use statistical sampling plans.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience using precision measuring equipment, including:
  • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Pin gauges
  • Height gauges
• Strong computer skills, including:
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Google Sheets
  • Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience documenting quality issues and maintaining inspection records.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow established inspection procedures consistently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (Fishbowl preferred).
• Experience working in medical device manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with ISO and cGMP requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 40 lbs occasionally.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to perform both unaided and microscope-assisted visual inspections.
• Comfortable using assembly and inspection tools, including microscopes, crimpers, cutters, tweezers, hand tools, and adhesive dispensers.

Additional Details

• High-volume environment requiring consistent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Significant focus on visual cosmetic inspection of finished products and fulfillment kits.
• Overtime may be available Tuesday through Thursday from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts based on business needs.
