ABOUT THE TEAM 

SEEC’s Community Engagement services (CE) provide work, learning, and recreational opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Focusing on each person’s individual goals, gifts, and areas of interest, we customize schedules to support people within their communities every day.  We fully support employment as the first option for every person and dedicate ourselves to facilitating the rich opportunities and points of contact that help people form lasting relationships and achieve work and life dreams.

The Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the support provided to people supported by SEEC’s Community Engagement. Guiding and coordinating the team’s efforts to achieve individual person-centered outcomes, program goals, as well as SEEC’s philosophy. The Team Leader plays a key role in developing PCPs planning documents and will oversee the training of Community Engagement Coaches in PCP goals and strategies.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL: 

• Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the person-centered support services.
• Promote person-centered support among staff and families where each person’s team learns what is important and the outcomes that are priorities for the person to accomplish.
• Demonstrate person-centered creative thinking, planning, and delivering of supports and services.
• Serve as a resource to staff and families in meeting challenges that use generic/community resources and/or different ways of providing support to the person, nurture staff in support of SEEC’s mission and vision.    
• Assure scheduling meets the needs of people supported
• Serve as a resource and creative problem solver with families and staff
• Develop and revise personal profiles of each person supported. Monitor, train, and coach staff on the person.
• Assure documentation and compliance needs are met according to DDA’s and SEEC’s regulations and policies.
• Assure that staff provides appropriate supports to people in the community in ways that promote independence, choice, and dignity.
• Build a communication system that helps staff to align with the person(s) they support, their co-workers, and the organization, SEEC.
• Effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize them. 
• Exercise good time management skills.

ABOUT YOU 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field 
• Knowledge of services for people with disabilities preferred
• Strong skills in building support and problem-solving teams
• Excellent communication skills with people supported, families, and staff
• Ability to travel to various community settings throughout Montgomery County
• Must have reliable transportation
