Family Medicine (Assistant/Associate/Professor)

Position Summary In support of Morehouse School of Medicine’s Vision, “Leading the creation and advancement of health equity,” the Department of Family Medicine seeks Physicians to join their team. The incumbent in this position will engage in teaching and clinical service in Family Medicine (FM). Engage in patient care activities consistent with the department’s needs and the faculty member’s interests. Assume administrative duties related to medical students and resident programs. Description of Job Duty Physicians will assess and diagnose patients in our clinic, providing them with healthcare services that meet state and national standards for caregiving. Prescribe patients with appropriate medication, health regimens, and lifestyle adjustments that will contribute to their recovery from diagnosed health issues, prevent future health issues, and promote a healthier life. Work with Nurse Practitioners to ensure understanding of state and local compliance measures. Work in electronic health record systems. Cross collaborate with other providers specialized in their fields. Serve on department, institutional, and community-based committees. May serve as Course Director for undergraduate medical education courses. May provide resident and medical student supervision. May undertake clinical responsibilities at Morehouse Healthcare, Grady Health Systems, or other affiliated sites assigned. Assist with resident recruitment, including interviewing candidates.
