Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Anesthetist)

Job TitleAnesthesiologistDutiesAnesthesiologists help with anesthetizing patients for a broad range of surgeries including pediatric surgery, ENT, OB/GYN, orthopedics, oral maxillofacial surgery, and GI procedures.They administer anesthetics through inhalation, regional, intravenous, local, or topical means.They determine the appropriate anesthetic agent and method of administering the agent.They monitor patients' fluid loss.They supervise and monitor the quality of anesthesia care administered by student nurse anesthetists.They assist in the implementation of the Anesthesia Performance Improvement Program.
