About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 3 years of experience required in operating room and level 1 or 2 trauma center. License: Compact RN License required. Certifications: AHA BLS required. Must-Have: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in operating room settings. - Experience in level 1 or 2 trauma centers. - Epic experience is required. - No first-time travelers accepted. Description: Registered Nurses will be assigned to the operating room. They will work a 12-hour day shift, starting at 06:45. Occasional floating to different shifts may be required. Weekend requirements will be based on unit needs. On-call requirements will be as needed, approximately three shifts per eight-week schedule period. The unit consists of 41 operating rooms within a level 1 trauma center. RNs will perform various surgical procedures including general, GU/GYN, neuro, ENT, and plastic surgeries. All travelers may need to float within scope to meet facility needs. Candidates must have prior experience circulating an emergent craniotomy. Special considerations will be given to candidates with scrubbing experience from level 1 trauma centers. Candidates must have the ability to complete facility-specific modules during the assignment. Travelers are expected to communicate effectively with unit leaders and check their email regularly. Time off requests are limited and not accepted during high-demand periods.
