Position This is a highly collaborative role responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying internal AI-enabled software applications and tools that support organizational transformation. This role focuses on architecting, designing, and building scalable, production-ready AI native applications as part of business process re-engineering efforts. The position works closely with Process Excellence teams, End Users, SMEs, IT, and junior developers to rapidly build, validate, and deploy solutions that improve operational efficiency, enable data-driven decision-making, and support scalable growth. Successful candidates will prioritize collaboration, speed, business value and customer impact, balancing concerns around security, scalability, and extensibility. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement AI-enabled applications and tools based on defined requirements - collaborating heavily with Process Excellence, SMEs, End Users, and IT teams.Participate in process re-engineering efforts applying systems engineering and lean practices, including kaizen, continuous improvement cycles, risk management, process mapping across domains.Translate process and functional requirements into working software solutions with user-friendly interfaces, and scalable structures.Plan software structure including data models, APIs, front-end/back-end structures, and AI/LLM integrations.Participate in rapid development cycles with other developers in building applications using AI-assisted coding tools.Evaluate and implement AI development tools, frameworks, and workflows to improve speed and quality of development. Develop standards for version control, testing and deployment approaches, and documentation practices.Test, debug, and validate applications for reliability and performance, supporting validation activities as required.Ensure alignment with organizational governance, data strategy, and security expectations. Early Development After 3 months you will:Participate in process re-engineering efforts, and collaboratively develop AI applications to drive the business forward.After 6 months you will:Lead broader software and AI system redesign efforts, coordinating with IT and other SMEs. Qualifications Minimum Education/Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree in a technical field and minimum three (3) years of experience. Under federal law, only truthful information may be provided on the Form I-9.COMPUTER SKILLSIn addition to familiarity with Microsoft Office software programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, ability with the following computer skills:• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern development frameworks. • Familiarity with rapid development using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude, Codex, GitHub Copilot, similar tools).• Experience integrating AI/ML models into applications. • Strong debugging, testing, and code optimization skills. • Strong understanding of data models, system integration, and application workflows. • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs. • Familiarity with system integration across enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, data systems, etc.). • Knowledge of API security, authentication (OAuth, tokens), and data flows. • Knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).• Experience with version control systems (Git-based workflows). • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Experience deploying and maintaining production applications. • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and validation practices. • Knowledge of application security principles and best practices. • Understanding of data governance, risk, and compliance considerations.
