Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $33.00 to $38.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities while ensuring accurate processing and recordkeeping.
• Prepare account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy through routine financial reviews.
• Process payments and monitor financial transactions to support daily accounting operations.
• Assist with month end close activities and prepare reports that support management and external business partners.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies while maintaining organized financial documentation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of accounting experience in a professional business environment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of accounting principles financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Possess experience preparing sales tax reports and supporting compliance related activities.
• Maintain proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Work independently while managing multiple priorities and meeting established deadlines.

Qualifications

• Apply strong attention to detail when reviewing transactions preparing reports and maintaining financial records.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational and problem solving skills in a fast paced environment.
• Communicate effectively with management lenders vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and supporting documentation for business reporting needs.
• Bring experience within automotive accounting or other specialized industry environments considered beneficial.
