About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Labor and Delivery required. Previous travel experience preferred. License: Compact or State RN License required. Certifications: AHA BLS ACLS NRP AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have: Must be willing to work weekends as needed. On-call requirement per unit needs. Float required within the Woman and Infant unit. Description: The position is for an RN in Labor and Delivery. Shifts are rotating across various days of the week. Candidates must have at least 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience. First-time travelers will not be accepted. Weekend shifts are required as per unit needs. Certifications required include AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate. Travelers may be required to float within the metropolitan region as needed. The unit has a total of 19 rooms. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:2. Charting is done using an electronic system. Special skills required include administration of blood products, cesarean section assistance, and lactation support. Candidates should be able to handle both high-risk and routine deliveries. Additionally, experience with fetal heart monitoring and postpartum care is essential. A thorough understanding of labor and delivery protocols is required. Do not submit if previously employed within the last two years in this facility system. Maximum time off allowed is 10 days within a 13-week contract. RTO is restricted during specific periods. Completion of facility-specific training modules is necessary within the first week of the assignment. Travelers will be responsible for checking their email regularly for important communications.
