Accounting specialist - transportation

IQS Group, LLC is looking for a motivated Accounting Specialist to join our growing transportation team. This position supports the accounting and back-office functions of our trucking operation and plays a key role in ensuring drivers are paid accurately, customer invoices are processed efficiently, and daily financial operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and has experience working in a transportation or logistics environment. Responsibilities Process weekly driver settlements accurately and on time. Work directly with our factoring company to submit invoices and resolve funding issues. Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. Support daily back-office operations for the transportation department. Review paperwork for accuracy and completeness. Assist with customer invoicing and billing. Communicate with drivers regarding settlement questions and payment issues. Maintain organized financial and transportation records. Assist with payroll support and administrative accounting tasks. Work closely with operations, dispatch, and management to resolve billing discrepancies. Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is a plus. Three (3) years of transportation, accounting, or back-office experience preferred. Transportation or trucking industry experience is strongly preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
