A respected Winter Park medical malpractice defense firm is seeking an Associate Attorney for a direct hire opportunity. Key Responsibilities

- Handle medical malpractice defense litigation matters from case development through resolution.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation documents.
- Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, and participate in court proceedings.
- Analyze case facts, medical records, expert materials, and litigation strategy.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal team members.
- Manage deadlines, case files, discovery, and litigation tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $100,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on candidate experience and overall compensation package.
- Base salary plus bonus.

- 3 to 5 years of litigation experience preferred.
- Experience taking depositions and attending hearings.
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
- Writing sample required.
- Strong organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage significant responsibility in a fast-paced litigation environment.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong professional communication skills.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality legal service to clients.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience in medical malpractice defense or professional liability litigation.
- Experience reviewing medical records, working with medical experts, or supporting complex healthcare-related litigation.
- Demonstrated interest in long-term growth within a litigation defense practice.
