Deputy Project Manager

The Deputy Project Manager will support the Project Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of a large-scale office relocation project from Guam to Hawaii. The role focuses on ensuring the safe, compliant, and timely movement of personnel, equipment, and facilities while coordinating multiple stakeholders throughout the relocation process. Key Responsibilities Support the Project Manager in delivering all phases of the relocation project. Coordinate logistics activities, including transportation, shipping, storage, and delivery schedules. Manage customs, import/export, and shipping documentation to ensure regulatory compliance. Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, wharf operators, and local vendors. Coordinate site access requirements, permits, and base access controls. Assist with relocation sequencing, installation, de-installation, and move planning activities. Monitor project schedules, risks, and deliverables, escalating issues where required. Maintain project documentation, progress reports, and stakeholder communications. Support health, safety, quality, and operational compliance requirements throughout project execution. Demonstrable experience in project management, logistics, relocation, or infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of supply chain, shipping, freight, and transportation coordination. Experience managing project schedules and multiple stakeholders. Knowledge of customs, shipping, and regulatory documentation requirements. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in dynamic operational environments and deliver to tight deadlines. Experience working on military, government, defence, or remote-site projects. Knowledge of base access procedures and controlled environments.
