Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to high-risk OB patients including magnesium sulfate patients and C-section patients managed on the unit
• Perform independent patient exams and full assessments in accordance with unit protocols
• Chart accurately across two EMR systems (Meditech and GE)
• Function within AWHONN staffing ratios across labor beds, triage/inpatient beds, and OR beds
• Float to OB or nursery in a task-support capacity as needed, without assuming a patient assignment
• Deliver a high standard of customer service and patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with BSN required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Flu vaccine required – no exceptions or exemptions
• High-risk OB experience required; must be comfortable in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery environment
• Ability to work every third weekend (3 weekend shifts per 4-week period)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• RNC (Inpatient Obstetric Nursing) certification preferred
• Experience with dual EMR documentation systems
• Background managing a variety of acuity levels including magnesium sulfate and C-section patients
