Sr. Business Analyst - People Strategy & Analytics People Strategy & Analytics brings data, analytics, and insights to shape critical talent decisions and strategy at Capital One. We work closely with HR partners and senior executives in shaping talent policy, automating real-time data, and improving talent decision-making. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to solve open-ended, complex questions about how we should attract, develop, and retain top talent. You will team up with world-class professionals and senior leadership and work on impactful projects. Your day-to-day might involve: Using data & analysis to help executives conduct workforce planning or set organizational strategy effectively Designing new frameworks for evaluating the success of workforce programs Developing analyses and tools to help Capital One retain and develop the best talent …and you will do it all in a collaborative environment that promotes continuous learning, rewards innovation, and prioritizes your development. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Strategic problem solving: Identify high impact opportunities to transform the associate experience, conduct analysis, and improve HR tools and processes Design: Drive and build key programs, including automated insights, HR and labor market monitoring, and internal and external thought leadership Rapid prototyping: Partner with clients to design innovative, AI-first data solutions and tools for workforce priorities Insights & analysis: Analyze internal and external workforce data and extract insights to help our clients make data-driven, informed decisions Successful Team Members Demonstrate Competencies In These Areas: Purpose: You feel a deep personal connection to improving the associate experience and are motivated by applying advanced analytics in a mission-driven way Analytical thinking: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Identify opportunities for improvement and use data to make strategic and tactical recommendations Execution: Develop and test hypotheses, design solutions, assess operational feasibility, support implementation efforts, and develop plans and tools for monitoring outcomes Partnership: Collaborate effectively with other team members and clients in HR Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills, including visualization skills (i.e., able to “tell the story” and highlight key insights in a clear and concise manner that is easily understood by stakeholders) Results focus: Drives for results and achieves important goals applying strong organizational skills and detail orientation, even amidst ambiguity Basic Qualifications: At least 2 years of professional experience performing analysis Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) A Mastr's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering 1+ years of experience in Python

McLean, VA: $111,200 - $126,900 for Sr. Business Analyst Richmond, VA: $101,100 - $115,400 for Sr. Business Analyst Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
