Production Assembler

Production Assembler- MetalThe Assembler - Metal position will be responsible for all aspects of the metal assembly process which involve assembly of pre-fabricated metal parts, pieces or products using various tools and equipment performing repetitive work station or line assembly operations to mass produce enclosures. 1st Shift Schedule Monday - Thursday 7:00am to 5:30pm with OT as needed on Fridays.Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, manufacturing drawings and/or simple CAD functions, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.Utilize hand held tools such as a hand held screw drivers and drill gunsMaintain inventory of product in work stationsPerform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standardsIdentify product defects and report to the Team Lead/SupervisorRework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification and/or customer changesPerform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety proceduresPerform daily tasks as assigned by functional area and Supervisor.Operate functional area equipment in a safe and efficient manner to produce quality parts to meet customer demandsMaintain safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping standards as requiredMaintain accurate and timely data records as assigned by functional areaRecognize and report any safety problems, hazards, accidents, and incidents to management.Assist with general cleanup and maintenance of the work placeAccomplish other job-related functions as may be assigned by SupervisorRegularly lift up to 35 poundsRegularly perform repetitive tasksRegularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accuratelyMay work on special assignments and projects as assigned by SupervisorUnderstanding and experience dealing with MSDS and handling of hazardous materialAbility to troubleshoot and resolve simple quality product issuesAbility to learn and perform all steps of the assembly processAbility to stand for an extended period of timeBending and stooping for extending timesAbility to work alone or with a teamRegular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the jobAbility to conduct visual inspections to identify small-sized defectsAbility to read and interpret tape measure and/or measurement devicesAbility to use powered industrial toolsManufacturing assembly experience is a plusBasic reading skills requiredMust be able to follow directionsAbility to perform work accurately and thoroughlyAbility to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or ideaHigh attention to detail and self-motivation skillsAbility to work in a production environment (Heat, Cold, Dusty, Loud)Hubbell Incorporated creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
