Schedule: 3x12 Night Shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, weekdays with some weekends. Typically 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio; may flex to 1:5 in emergencies. Blocked weekend schedules (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday) will be considered.

Highlights:

• 13-week contract with strong potential for extension
• Stepdown unit with variable acuity; many patients are cardiac including post-surgical and interventional cardiology, plus general medical/surgical cases
• 36-bed unit with daily census of approximately 34 patients
• Cerner EMR system utilized throughout the facility
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Holiday time-off requests limited to no more than 2 of the 4 major holidays

Requirements:

• Active RN License (West Virginia or Compact state; pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years total RN experience required
• 1 year Medical/Surgical or Telemetry experience and 2 years Stepdown experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association required)
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac rhythm strip interpretation
• Experience with Cerner charting system required
• Skills including telemetry, cardiac drip management, vasoactive drip management, central line care, blood product administration, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Permanent address must be at least 75-100 miles from the facility
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
