Dr. Scott Novak and his dental team are looking for a dental hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health, preventing and treating dental diseases. In this role you will complete treatment of patient’s oral and periodontal care including patient education. You will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest standards of oral health.
Intra Oral Scanning (IOS) and CBCT imaging are available to ensure we are fully utilizing the latest technology to ensure patient care is at the highest standard. We utilize Dentrix as our PMS and Dexis for radiographs/photos. Our schedule is a 4-day work week, we do not work evenings or Saturdays.
Our office is a CDOCs mentor plus participant, which offers our employees unlimited continuing education (at no cost to the employee) for individual clinical growth and success through dentistrys most innovative online learning resource platform, Spear Education. Providing more than 1,500 lessons and industry-leading dental CE materials proven to refine your clinical techniques. Dental CE credits may be completed at your leisure. This platform also includes patient education which empowers your patients with videos and supporting content that explain their individual cases in terms they can easily understand with more than 160 animated videos designed by multimedia experts.

Pay

$50~$60 per hour

Requirements

• Licensed dental hygienist
• X-ray / Radiography Certification

• MD License (active or license eligible) in the state of practice
• Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist
• Proficiency with dental tools and technology, including X-ray machines

Job Description

What You’ll Do:
• Assess gum health, check for signs of periodontal disease, and provide early intervention when needed.
• Take and review digital X-rays to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Guide patients on proper brushing and flossing techniques for optimal at-home care.
• Provide tailored recommendations for oral care products, such as electric toothbrushes, mouthwashes, and interdental cleaners.
• Discuss the impact of nutrition and lifestyle habits (such as smoking, grinding, and sugar intake) on oral health.
• Collaborate with dentists, assistants, and front office staff to create a seamless patient experience.
• Maintain a positive and professional atmosphere, ensuring patients feel comfortable and valued.
• Accurately document patient histories, exam findings, and treatment progress in digital records.
•Work closely with the dentist to develop personalized treatment plans that align with each patients needs.
• Track and schedule follow-up visits to ensure patients receive continuous care.
