What will you'll be doing:As our Lead Software Engineer, you'll be leading a fast-paced scrum team, made up of a lead engineer, software engineers, automation and manual test engineers, product owners and business analysts. You will also:Deliver systems that improve the experience of our customers and business usersHave a vision for designing and building robust and scalable systemsLead design discussions and decisions about projectsHave ownership of the full software development lifecycle from initial requirements through to supporting production releasesSupport team activities such as planning and estimationLine manage and mentor team members to facilitate their growth and progressionChampion current and new coding standards and practicesDrive a culture of continuous improvement.What is the tech stack?We have a wide range of technologies used across a large number of teams, including:C#, .NET Core, and Web API.Web Application Frameworks (ASP.NET MVC, SPA)Enterprise content management achieved through SitecoreRESTful Microservices – light-weight efficient, decoupled APIs that scale well.Event driven architectures (Kafka)Modern reactive JavaScript Frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue.js, Angular)Advanced web topologies (Headless, Jamstack)Storage technologies like SQL, Redis and SOLRAutomated UI and API testing (BDD, Selenium)Cloud technologies (Azure/AWS/GCP)Containerised environments using Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.What you’ll have:Our Lead Software Engineer will have previous experience in the usage of all our tech stacks, be extremely passionate about technology and have previous management experience.
