Job Summary
The Surgical Technician (OR Specialty) position is located in Plano, TX. This role involves supporting the surgical team during procedures by preparing and handling instrumentation, ensuring a safe operating room environment, and assisting with patient preparation and specimen handling. The position requires coordination with surgical staff to optimize intraoperative performance.
Job Details
- Certifications/Education Requirements: BLS (AHA Only), CST (NBSTSA or NCCT); location: Plano, TX; minimum 3 years of experience, including neuro, urology, orthopedic, general, or robotics surgeries.
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (0645-1915), 36 hours per week, starting 11/09/2026, ending 02/07/2027.
- Responsibilities include discussing special needs with surgeons, preparing the operative site, organizing and maintaining surgical instruments, performing counts, assisting with draping and positioning, handling specimens, and cleaning and sterilizing instruments following each procedure.
- Additional notes: Last updated 08/12/2024. Scrub color is provided. Must pass a formal surgical technology program or equivalent training.
