Job Summary Nocturnist FM Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Lovelace Westside Hospital, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Responsibilities Night shift12 hour shift working 7 on 7 off, 7pm to 7am. 3-5 admissions per shift plus consults, plus cross cover Provide clinical care to patients in accordance to regulations to include but not limited to obtaining patient history, ordering labs, diagnostic studies, and arranging referrals. Uphold excellent bedside manners and ability to create a great patient experience. Explain medical procedures and plan of care to patients. Responsible for in-patient care, rounding, admissions, discharges, and consults. Assess patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations, obtaining, updating and studying medical histories. Document patient care services by charting in-patient and department records in EPIC. Attend departmental meetings and professional training sessions as requested. Adhere and have knowledge of laws to internal medicine, including HIPPA. Communicate effectively with physicians and medical staff to coordinated care. Epic EMR Position Requirements Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program. Current New Mexico NP/PA license or ability to obtain a NM License. Two (2) years of experience preferred with family medicine and the ability to work independently with critical care patients. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification. Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner Certification desired, but not required. Open to new graduates. Recruitment Package May Include Nationally competitive salary. CME allowance.
