Job Title: Engineering Manager Job Description

The Engineering Manager provides overall technical leadership within the engineering department to plan, execute, and manage all internal, external, and customer requirements. The role ensures compliance with all safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements while supporting organizational objectives by developing goals and strategies.

• Champion and support the integration of customer quality flow down requirements.
• Collaborate with technical engineers, project engineers, manufacturing engineers, CNC programmers, estimators, and shop floor employees to meet program goals.
• Monitor project plans to ensure technical requirements, schedule, and budget are maintained.
• Ensure engineering efforts align with company policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Coordinate between the engineering team, functional managers, and product line supervisors for necessary reviews and approvals.
• Verify compliance of manufacturing methods as defined by customer orders, drawings, and specifications.
• Approve and revise customer purchase orders and validate compliance.
• Develop and maintain new products and design change milestones in collaboration with management.
• Manage and prioritize tooling and program requests for CNC programmers and manufacturing engineers.
• Review and approve all BOMs, manufacturing routers, fixture designs, and CNC programs.
• Lead customer product reviews, including production readiness reviews.
• Ensure First Article and Production Process Approval tasks are completed and approved.
• Review and approve estimator quotes for accuracy and compliance.
• Review and manage product repairs, reworks, and MRBs.
• Oversee root cause investigations and corrective actions on assigned programs.
• Lead efforts related to customer escapes with engineering and quality management.
• Engage in technical, quality, schedule, and cost communications with customers.
• Recommend safety and ergonomic improvements for material handling and manufacturing tools.
• Participate in discussions with customers and suppliers as required.
• Occasionally travel to customer and supply chain locations.
• Build and maintain customer relationships to grow business and sales.
• Support all internal and external audits.

• Ability to make complex decisions with limited information.
• Effective collaboration across multiple disciplines.
• Strong analytical capabilities and understanding of statistical analysis.
• Strong people skills, independent problem resolution, and proven leadership ability.
• Experience in software, manufacturing, fabrication, and engineering management.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing and/or cost estimating.
• Working knowledge of CAD/CAM systems, shop mathematics, sheet metal fabrication, machining, welding, inspection methods, and coatings.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading engineering efforts on Department of Defense programs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Project.
• Ability to guide and mentor team members.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.

• PMP certification preferred (Project Management Professional).
• Experience with fiber laser, welding, machining, and AS9100 standards.

The role is based in a manufacturing, fabrication, and welding tooling shop. The engineering team works in cubicles adjacent to a large, clean, indoor machine shop. Clients are in the aviation and aerospace industries, focusing on tooling and fabrication of parts.

This is a Permanent position based out of Palm Bay, FL.

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Must be able to lift, move, transport and load items across the building up to 50 pounds at times. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position and constantly re-position self to perform required tasks. May be required to work on slippery and uneven surfaces. May be exposed to physical hazards from moving equipment, heavy equipment, and machine parts.May work in close proximity to others.

This is a fully onsite position in Palm Bay,FL.

This position is anticipated to close on Oct 8, 2026.
