Travel Stepdown Nurse (RN) - Atlanta, GA

This travel assignment provides an invaluable platform to work within a respected stepdown unit, caring for patients with complex needs including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy. With 16-20 beds and a manageable 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, you'll collaborate closely with seasoned professionals and observe a variety of care models and leadership styles, further honing your critical thinking and skillset. This experience is ideal for nurses eager to build their resumes and broaden their exposure to diverse patient populations in a fast-paced, supportive environment.


Schedule/Hours:

• Choice of 36 or 48-hour contracts

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in stepdown or a similar acute care setting
• Current ACLS & BLS certifications

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care to individuals with acute medical conditions
• Implement interventions and monitor therapies for high-acuity patients
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support comprehensive care and positive health outcomes
• Accurately document patient status and changes, ensuring timely communication with providers and families
