Substitute Custodian

Education/Certification/Requirements High school diploma/equivalent or higher Must have a valid Texas Operators License or valid Texas ID Special Knowledge/Skills Physically able to lift 20-50 pounds Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with district employees Previous custodial experience preferred, although not required Major Responsibilities And Duties Keeps building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, ramps, stairs, play areas neat and clean at all times. Regulates heat, ventilation, and air conditioning system to provide temperatures appropriate to the season and to ensure economical usage of fuel, water, and electricity. Raises the United States flag at or before 7:45 a.m. on each school day, and lowers it at or after 4:00 p.m. Sweeps classrooms daily and dust furniture, clean windows, and sills. Cleans all dry erase boards upon request. Maintains a regular schedule of all motors and other mechanical equipment requiring scheduled servicing. Demonstrates punctuality and dependability on the job. Works and cooperates with fellow workers. Assumes responsibility for the security of assigned area of responsibility and of building. Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the CCAISD safety program. Supports the goals and objectives of the school district and follows all district policies Demonstrates the ability to attend work on a regular and routine basis to avoid disruption of district operations. Performs any other duties as assigned by the appropriate supervisor. Provides optimal customer service to all students, employees, parents, community members and any other stakeholders of the district. CCAISD will require additional documentation (background check and fingerprinting) if hired as proof of eligibility for employment.
