What You'll Do:

• Provide advanced nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in various specialties
• Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesia providers, and ancillary staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Assist in preparing operating rooms, sterile techniques, and ensuring equipment readiness
• Monitor patient status pre- and post-operation, including in PACU and Endoscopy
• Follow all protocols and maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
• Participate in emergency and relief assignments as needed, including on-call shifts and standby duties
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR systems

What You Need:

• Valid state RN license with current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Minimum of 1 year OR RN experience; must have Epic EMR experience
• Ability to work independently in a rural hospital environment
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to be flexible with on-call and emergency team assignments

About the Assignment:

This position is based at a small rural hospital in Jennings, LA, known for its tight-knit community and multi-disciplined staff. The RN will be responsible for a variety of perioperative care tasks, supporting surgical, obstetric, and endoscopy procedures. The facility values experienced professionals who can adapt to a dynamic, team-oriented environment and deliver high-quality patient care throughout the assignment duration.
