VCA South Shore Weymouth Animal Hospital – Surgery Veterinary Technician VCA South Shore Weymouth Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our 24‑hour emergency/referral/multi‑specialty and general practice in South Weymouth, Massachusetts. Compensation : $25.00 - $38.00 / hour for a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) based on skill set, experience and licensure status. Experienced Veterinary Assistants are also welcome to apply. Schedule : Mostly weekdays, rotating weekends. Job Responsibilities: Procedural anesthesia monitoring Ability to calculate drug doses Full Technician skill utilization, including bronchoscopy, endoscopes, and more Collecting patient histories and performing thorough physical examinations Venipuncture / IVC placement Hands‑free radiology (associate safety is a top priority) Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services Providing compassionate care for all patients Paid on‑call availability Ability to work additional hours if necessary Minimum 1 year experience Qualifications: Valid Veterinary Technician license Experience in surgical settings Strong anesthesia monitoring skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage Paid vacation and sick days 401(k) plan Generous employee pet discounts We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer – Veterans / Disabled.
