Role Description:
Platform AdministrationAdminister and maintain the Microsoft Power BI Service environment.Configure and manage Power BI tenant settings, workspaces, capacities, and gateways.Monitor platform health, performance, and usage metrics.Manage Power BI Premium, Fabric, and Pro licensing requirements.Security & GovernanceImplement and maintain Power BI governance frameworks and best practices.Configure and manage Row-Level Security (RLS), Object-Level Security (OLS), and workspace permissions.Ensure compliance with organizational security, privacy, and data governance policies.Perform periodic access reviews and user entitlement audits.Gateway & Data Connectivity ManagementInstall, configure, and maintain On-Premises Data Gateways.Troubleshoot data refresh failures, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks.Coordinate with database, infrastructure, and network teams to resolve integration issues.Monitoring & Performance OptimizationMonitor dataset refresh schedules and service performance.Analyze capacity utilization and recommend optimization strategies.Identify and resolve report, dataset, and workspace performance issues.Maintain system documentation and operational procedures.User Support & EnablementProvide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Power BI users.Assist report developers and business users with workspace management and best practices.Develop and deliver user training and governance awareness sessions.Create and maintain knowledge base articles and support documentation.Compliance & Change ManagementSupport deployment pipelines and environment promotion processes.Manage releases, updates, and configuration changes.Ensure backup, recovery, and business continuity requirements are met.Participate in audits and compliance assessments when required.
