Job Summary The Lab Technician Level I works closely with the laboratory team to develop analytical skills, performing sample preparation, quality control, equipment verification, and waste disposal. Responsibilities Execute laboratory protocols under the Lab Director’s supervision. Maintain good laboratory technique to prevent cross‑contamination. Prepare samples: homogenize, weigh, extract. Conduct QC duties, including LCS and matrix spikes. Perform qualitative and quantitative tests. Use the LIMS system for batch creation, data entry, and record maintenance. Adhere to ISO 17025 and state regulatory requirements. Promote customer service and safety standards. Other duties or special projects as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities High attention to detail and accuracy. Adaptability in a fast‑paced environment. Data organization, analysis, and logging. Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Standard laboratory protocol experience. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills. Education & Experience Minimum Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field. 0‑1 year of lab experience. Knowledge of laboratory principles and practices.
