Job Title: Registered Nurse - OR Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 8 Hours Hours per Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years of OR-specific experience License: RN License needed Certifications: BLS, ACLS (for RN); BLS (for Surgical Technologist); BLS and CSFA or CSA certification (for Surgical Assistant) Must-Have: Robotics (Da Vinci) experience required. Experience with Neuro Spine/Neuro Vascular procedures. Strong preference for Transplant and Cardio/Thoracic experience. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. The position requires circulating and may involve scrubbing, though scrubbing experience is not mandatory. Robotic, Bariatric, Neuro-Spine, Neuro Vascular, Urology, and Transplant cases are common. Patient ratios will be 1:1. The candidate will need to pass an EKG competency exam prior to arrival. Experience in general surgeries such as Lap Chole, Nephrectomy, and Whipple is needed. Bariatric procedures include Roux-en-Y and gastric sleeve. Urology cases involve Cystos, TURPs, bladder tumor resection, and stone removal. The traveler must be flexible with scheduling and may be required to work weekends and on-call shifts. Holiday rotation may also be necessary. The unit operates with a team-oriented culture. Support on the unit includes a 24/7 RT team and anesthesia coverage. Experience with the electronic medical record system Meditech is preferred. Additional skills in the required case types may benefit candidates.
