Job Title: Shipping Clerk / Kit Builder Job Description

We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Shipping Clerks / Kit Builders. In this role, you will be responsible for building various kits, which include assembling bags or boxes with bolts, brackets, gaskets, washers, and work instructions. You will be provided with 50 labeled containers, labeled part boxes, and work instructions detailing the number of pieces required for each kit. The work is straightforward and easily manageable.

• Inspect products for defects or damages before and during packaging.
• Operate packaging machinery and equipment safely.
• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
• Package finished products into boxes, containers, or pallets.
• Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools.
• Label packages with correct identification and shipping information.

• Ability to follow work instructions accurately.
• Basic math skills.
• Stable recent work history.

• Experience in assembly, shipping, and receiving.
• Must pass a hand dexterity test.
• Capability to perform basic math and follow detailed work instructions.
• Demonstrated stable recent work history, avoiding frequent job changes.

Our facility is well-lit, clean, and organized, providing a pleasant work atmosphere. You will work at standing workstations designed for easy workflow. The role requires working on alternating Saturdays, with opportunities to volunteer for additional overtime if desired. Shifts available are 1st shift from 6am-2:30pm and 2nd shift from 3pm-11:30pm.

This is a Contract position based out of Burton, MI.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.50/hr.
