Physical Therapy Assistant

Duties
Help
Performs complex Physical Therapist Assistant duties requiring knowledge of physical therapy, evidence-based medicine and data collection for evaluations and treatments.
Initiates, implements, plans and recommends progressive treatment plan of patient's.
Documents information related to patient's care in accordance with guidelines from the American Physical Therapy Association, the Joint Commission, current protocols and as directed by the supervisor.
Tracks procedure's long and short term effects on patients, of different types of therapy and appropriateness of a specific therapy.
Provides instruction to patients, family members and other health workers to perform selected treatment procedures and functional training activities.
