The Bar Manager will oversee beverage operations at an event and public market venue, leading a small team of bartenders while maintaining the existing menu, driving seasonal updates, and developing a full cocktail program. This role will balance exceptional guest experiences with revenue growth through effective operations, cost control, team development, and event execution.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily beverage operations for an event/entertainment venue and public market place.
- Schedule, lead, and train a small team of bartenders.
- Maintain the existing beverage menu and develop seasonal updates.
- Lead full cocktail program development.
- Control inventory, beverage costs, and operational expenses.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate purchasing.
- Monitor compliance with applicable beverage service regulations.
- Enhance guest experience and support revenue growth.
- Coordinate beverage service for events and entertainment programming.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in bar management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of beverage costing and inventory management.
- Experience with point-of-sale systems and staff scheduling.
- Mixology and cocktail program development skills.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and vendor negotiation.
- Strong leadership and customer service skills.
- Ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
