What You'll Do

• Provide compassionate nursing care to antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients
• Circulate during C-sections and support triage on outpatient OB cases
• Administer Magnesium Sulfate Therapy and manage postpartum hemorrhage, including blood administration and Jada device use
• Support induction procedures such as Balloon, Cytotec, and Pitocin
• Collaborate with charge nurses, support staff, and hospital team to ensure quality patient care
• Utilize Meditech Expanse EMR and GE Centricity Perinatal systems for documentation
• Adhere to hospital protocols and ensure patient safety during shift

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• 1+ year of recent Labor & Delivery experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, NRP, and FHM certifications
• Experience with laboring patients, C-section circulation, and postpartum care

• Experience with postpartum and couplet care
• Ability to work collaboratively in a family-like team environment

About the Assignment This role is based at a Level 3 NICU and an acute stroke-ready hospital with 85 licensed beds. The unit handles antepartum, labor, postpartum, and OB triage services. You will be part of a dedicated, family-oriented team supporting women through their childbirth journey. The hospital provides PPE, orientation, and ongoing support to ensure your success.
