About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of experience required. Previous trauma level I experience is preferred. Travelers with 2 or more years of ER experience may be considered. License: Current registered nurse license required. Certifications: ACLS BLS BSN preferred CPI or MAB preferred PALS preferred TNCC preferred Must-Have: Experience in a Level I Trauma Center is required. Starting and maintaining IVs is essential. Description: This position requires 1 year of experience in emergency nursing. Candidates must have trauma level I experience. This role is in a high-volume emergency room setting. The department handles trauma cases for both adults and pediatrics. Patients may present with various urgent conditions including sepsis and stroke. The emergency room sees approximately 230 visits per day. The unit includes various care areas such as fast track and observation holding. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Travelers may manage patients with PCA pumps, but staff handle pump management. Experience in dealing with high-volume psychiatric cases is beneficial. All travelers are expected to comply with facility policies and procedures.
