A middle school in the Peterborough, New Hampshire area is seeking a dependable and compassionate Registered Nurse to support students and staff. This position involves general school nursing responsibilities and is ideal for an RN who enjoys working with children in an educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine nursing care to middle school students
• Assess and respond to student illnesses, injuries, and medical concerns
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies
• Maintain accurate student health records and nursing documentation
• Manage the school health office and maintain necessary medical supplies
• Develop and follow individualized healthcare and emergency action plans when needed
• Perform basic health screenings and assist with required student health documentation
• Communicate with parents, guardians, teachers, administrators, and healthcare providers
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and provide first aid
• Promote student wellness, health education, and a safe school environment
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal health and confidentiality requirements

Requirements

• Active New Hampshire Registered Nurse license or eligibility to obtain one
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Previous pediatric, school-based, community health, or emergency nursing experience preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and respond calmly to student health needs and emergencies
• Must meet all district background-check and onboarding requirements
